Introduction

The Homely app is a service provider app for both landlords, property owners & Tenants. It’s a real estate app where a landlord can easily sell or rent his/her own property by placing their properties of houses on the homely app and finding suitable tenants.

 

Problems

How can I create an app that Nigerians will adapt to easily and go to for their housing needs, how do I solve the housing hunt problem and revolutionize the way people search for houses and find tenants in Nigeria. Also, a tenant can also create an account on the platform and find apartments without needing a real estate agent. Tenants can also watch videos of each section of the apartments or a Virtual reality tour of the apartment this helps them skip the agent fee process and time-wasting or discrepancy.

User Personas

My target audience includes students, youths and adults. Students trying to get accommodation around school environments like Lasu, Yabatech and Unilag often find it hard finding accommodations since they do not like staying in the school hostels. Also, the available spaces are insufficient to house students. Young people looking to move to big cities like Lagos are usually discouraged by the agent fees added to the cost of rent and also disappointments when they cannot find their taste of apartment. Individuals and families who are looking for apartments that are conducive and befitting of a family most times do not find the ideal housing solutions for their needs.
David just wants a comfortable apartment where he can work remotely from. Electricity supply is important to him so he is looking for a quiet neighbourhood where he can safely live and work from.

The Remilekun’s

They spend a lot of time outdoors due to the nature of their job, they want an apartment in a safe neighbourhood where they can raise their kids and build their lives together.

In order for me to create a user flow or journey for users of this app, I had to take a few steps back to understand the User objectives.

  • How fast can i make the app accessible for clients and tenants?
